Short description:
Historischer Kraftverkehr (HiK) is a specialist magazine on historic commercial vehicles published in Germany. In 1982, it was the first German trade journal in this field under the title Elefant. Since December 1984, the journal has carried the current title. It is published by Klaus Rabe Willich with a circulation of 18,000 copies. The journal's content focuses on extensive historical descriptions of the manufacturers of commercial vehicles, portraits of freight forwarding companies and reports on the technology of old commercial vehicles and trucks. The image material used is often unique and in many cases has never been published before. From 2007 to 2011, the special edition „Blaulicht" on old fire brigade, ambulance, rescue service, police, civil defence and similar official vehicles was published irregularly for the HiK.
