In the first issue, July, it is stated that “Effective immediately, GT MOTORSPORTS is under the management of On Track Publishing Company, publishers of ON TRACK magazine.” This makes it sound like GT Motorsports had been around before this July 1986 issue yet this issue is listed as Vol. 1, No. 1.
