Originally a motorsport focused publication, but added a general motoring focus from 1960. Titled as Australian Motor Sports until July 1960 and then re-named to Australian Motor Sports and Automobiles with the August 1960 issue.

Originally a motorsport focused publication, but added a general motoring focus from 1960. Titled as Australian Motor Sports until July 1960 and then re-named to Australian Motor Sports and Automobiles with the August 1960 issue. November 1969 issue never printed due to a printer's strike. June and July 1955 were a combined issue. December 1960 and January 1961 were a combined issued. February 1967 issues was wrongly dated February 1966 on the cover however, the correct date is shown on all inner pages. Issues within 1951 through July 1954 were printed in the smaller A5 size.
