Launched in November 1985 as Sports Car Illustrated and re-named as Sports Car International with issue #36 in July 1989 and died after 189 issues in November 2008.
In the words of the founding editor: "This is not a car magazine. It is a magazine for people who appreciate sporting type motor vehicles".
