Short description:
The magazine, subtitled "Das Motorblatt für Alle" by Vogel Verlag Pössneck/Germany, was an independent illustrated weekly publication for the entire motoring industry.
The Vogel publishing house underwent a fateful development before and after World War II. Initially benefiting from the reemergence after the lost First World War, it soon fell out of favor with the Nazi regime due to its international orientation.
The popular magazine "Motor und Sport" merged with the magazine "Das Auto" of the two former racing drivers Paul Pietsch and Ernst Dietrich-Troeltsch from Stuttgart. In 1951, it was re-launched under the title "Auto motor und sport" at the jointly founded publishing house Motor Presse Stuttgart.
