Automobile Quarterly

Do collectors on here consider Automobile Quarterly a magazine, even though it is hard bound and more book like than a magazine?

Does AQ have an ISSN or an ISBN? ie. magazine or book? It has an ISBN, so it would normally be considered to be a book.

That shouldn't stop it being listed on magazinecollector as each issue is a collection of separate feature articles on cars and motoring that can be indexed for future reference.

Thanks for the reply Brian, I have learnt something today, ISSN & ISBN, I never knew what they were about. It has an ISSN, so it qualifies!!! It started in 1962, so no ISSN then.

The Public & National Librarians in New Zealand have always considered these 'books' as periodicals there fore as corrected pointed out listed with magazines

That makes perfect sense. I cannot say exactly which issue has the ISSN number, but I assume whenever that system was introduced AQ would have adopted the ISSN accordingly. I guess periodical is a fancy name for a fancy magazine like AQ! Thanks.
